Calista and I originally had plans to shoot at Carkeek Park, a gorgeous seaside spot north of Seattle. But the turn of fall brought a 40-degree morning and when we arrived we couldn’t stand to get out of the car long enough to shoot anything. Instead we drove to her parents’ beautiful home on Mercer Island.

Something that’s really important to me when I’m shooting is having a wide range of clothing items to choose from. Calista had loaded most of her wardrobe into the back of her car and it made me so incredibly happy create outfits together with her. I love shooting a wide spectrum of moods and looks.

When Calista’s mom came home she made us pumpkin bread and we talked about photography for hours. It was a great end to this beautiful fall.
